The blog dearphotograph.com, launched in May, is helping people transform memories into powerful new statements. Taylor Jones, the blogger, had the idea to go back in time a la "Back to the Future" to the scene of a photo from years ago. The idea was to revisit the scene of an old photograph by 1) going back now to the place where it was taken and 2) recreating the picture by taking a new picture in the same place, depicting how you look today. You can even add your own caption, which is what 4 million people have already done. Jones says these pictures express "gratitude for what we had yesterday instead of resentment that we don't have it anymore." What a Good for You sentiment!
