Elissa Montanti, a New Yorker worried about children injured and disfigured in war, started an organization and has now brought more than 150 children to America for treatment, all of them cared for by doctors, nurses and hospitals volunteering their time. Thanks to increased donations, her organization is now able to provide the children with a house (complete with a playground and murals) where they can stay during their treatment.
